What do you need to bring

Clothing/Packing List & Travel Documents On most of our tours we will be travelling through varied climates and riding at altitudes up to 2500mtrs. Our costal and eastern routes are generally warmer than our inland Granada, Malaga, Jaen and Cadiz routes. Late Autumn, Winter and early Spring temperatures both in the mornings and evenings can be cool, sometimes varying as much as 20 degrees from that of the midday temperatures. (The warm clothes/underclothes described below, usually aren't necessary from May October and the waterproof clothing usually isn't needed from June -September) Helmet Compulsory on tour. Any decent full-face or open-faced helmet is ideal. If buying a new helmet specifically for your tour, then consider one with a venting system. If the helmet has provisions for a clip on peak, this is also worth considering. Jacket Armoured textile jackets are a good bet generally, especially those with venting and breathable waterproof linings. If your jacket is not waterproof, consider bringing a waterproof over-jacket, or an over-suit. Trousers Again, armoured textile trousers are a good way to go. Likewise, if not waterproof, again they should be backed-up with over-trousers or an over-suit. Gloves (Also compulsory) Your hands may get cold at high altitude or if it rains, waterproof gloves are ideal for all-round use. Thicker gloves and/or glove liners are recommended during late Autumn, Winter and early Spring Boots Sturdy boots, covering the ankle, are a minimum requirement. Other clothing & kit The list below isn't everything you might need to bring on our tours, but highlights things that are best not forgotten. Warm clothes/underclothes, (a fleece is good for both cool mornings/evenings and for under-jacket warmth) A snood, great for keeping dust out of the nose, for added warmth when needed Cool, thin socks, plus warmer ones during late Autumn, Winter and early Spring A sun hat, especially if you're bald! A snood can be worn as a hat to keep the sun off, or warmth in Shorts/tee shirts, swimming cossie (if using the Hammam on our H.O.G. Tour) or if you fancy a plunge Sandals, but also bring trainers or light walking boots for “Caminito del Rey” or if you intend to trek Sunglasses, sun block (essential during July & August), lip balm if prone to chapped lips If you have a weak back, a kidney-belt may be helpful Any regular medication you need Alarm clock or mobile phone alarm Earplugs Documents Passport (you will need to show this to enter the Alhambra Palace on our H.O.G. Tour) Driving Licence (it is obligatory that this is with you throughout the tour) Travel/Medical Insurance International Drivers Permit (IDP) if required* *(please enquire with your local authorities to see if an IDP is required for you to ride in Spain)
