Tour Highlights

Our journey immerses you in vast, untouched desert terrain, stretching from Nador in the North to the majestic Erg Chagaga in the South. This is no leisurely sightseeing tour, at least not at the start; this is a challenge that will push you, energise you, and leave you in awe. The initial stretch demands resilience, but the reward is an experience like no other. To balance intensity with rest and reflection, we’ve included three well-placed rest days in Merzouga, Ouarzazate, and Fez, allowing you time to recharge, immerse yourself in the local culture, and prepare for the next leg. If you ever need to adjust your pace, alternative routes along sealed roads provide flexibility, ensuring you can shape the journey to suit your rhythm. As we transition into the second half, the ride becomes gentler, weaving through the heart of the Atlas Mountains. Though the terrain shifts, the spirit of adventure remains, as we still seek out the dirt roads wherever possible, embracing the raw beauty of the Moroccan wilderness. Pricing Options: Base Price: Fly into Fes, hire a motorcycle (not included), then ride to Nador (±315km) or at our overnight stop in Debdou (±280km) If hiring a motorcycle, budget for between €80-€180 a day, depending on the motorcycle you want to ride. Ride to Almeria: Ride your own bike down to Almeria and join the group on the ferry over to Nador Fly to Almeria:, Let us transport your bike for you whilst you fly. We will pick up your bike from your home and deliver it to Almeria Airport.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Almeria to Nador. For those using their own bikes, our trip starts in Almeria, where we will catch the daytime ferry to Nador, Morocco. The ferry crossing will give us a good opportunity to get to know each other before landing in Nador for an overnight stay to make sure you are fresh for the first day of riding. If hiring a bike, fly into Fes at your convenience and ride down to meet us in Nador, you can then leave the group on the next-to-last day when we stay overnight in Fes. Day 2: Nador to Debdou ±300km. A full days riding today of around 300km, most of which will be offroad, after a heart breakfast we hit the dirt as soon as we travel along several gravel and mountain tracks with a could of steep, rutted descents before the terrain transitions to rolling hills and the lush greenery of the medeterainian starts to give way to the harshed arid desert landscape. Day 3: Debdou to Boudnib ±330km. Our biggest day today, we follow the sealed N19, N4 & R606 south for around 80km before turning off to go cross country, expect fast light sand​/​dirt tracks, there will be a few creeks to navigate early on and one tricky descent near Col Belkassem before hitting the sealed road to Boudnibas. The majority of today will be spent riding off-road. Day 4: Boudnib to Merzouga ±140km. Today is a shorter day, as whilst the route is predominantly light sand and dirt, you are likely to start hitting some deeper sand before Maadid. After Maadid to Merzouga, there are several Wadi​/​Stream beds to cross before reaching the edge of the stunning Erg Chebbi and our 2-night stop in Merzouga. Day 5: Rest Day at Merzouga​/​Erg Chebbi. It's not all riding, unless you want it to be. After 2 hard riding days, crossing open countryside, and navigating remote terrain, it's time to relax, chill out and take the day to do whatever you want to do. Maybe go for a camel ride over Erg Chebbi, chill out at the hotel, or hit the dunes on your bike or take a ±140km loop out to the Rhehris Flood plains. Day 6: Merzougato to Zagora ±230km. We take the sealed Rr702 South West along the sealed road to Ouzina where the tarmac ends, and we head West across a mixture of light sand, dirt and patches of deeper sand. Along the way, there are many wells and places to stop. After Ramlia, the roads become a little indistinct before crossing the Salt Lake and reaching Sidi Ali. The road west of Sidi Ali is very obvious, whilst still being a mixture of dirt and sand all the way to Oumjrane. After leaving Oumjrane it is ±26kn of dirt and sand to the sealed road that takes you to our overnight stop in Zagora. Day 7: Zagorato to Foum Zguid ±270km. We head south, following the sealed N9 for ±70km, at the town of Tagounite. Then we turn off the tarmac along fairly easy dirt, sand and stony tracks. There are a number of Wadis crossed before we get to Erg Chegaga. There are multiple options for crossing or going around the Erg; feel free to take whichever path is the most suitable for you, your skill, and your bike. Then it's over the claypan, easy in the dry, but if wet, this will be a challenge; it may be prudent to take a more northern line to avoid it before the road becomes more of a stone surface for our overnight stop at Foum Zguid. Day 8: Forum Zguid to Quarzazatet ±200km. The terrain today has more sealed roads as we travel North to the fascinating town of Quarzazatet. After a little under 140km from Forum Zguid on a road that winds its way through hills and canyons, we turn off at the Taguenzalt Rest area and go cross country for the final section to our 2-night stopover to allow you to get some rest and explore on your own. Day 9: Rest Day at Quarzazatet. Free day to explore the town of Ouarzazate and the surrounding area. Quarzazatet is a fascinating town known as the Hollywood of Morocco, and a favourite filming destination for multiple blockbusters including Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and more https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?locations=ouarzazate Day 10: Ouarzazate to Timit ±240km. Riding North, we have and easy day today with a 50​/​50 split of dirt​/​sealed roads, we follow the dirt tracks as much as we can., as we cross the mountains dirt roads are a little more limited, but the scenery makes up for it as we head through deep valleys and climb to some stunning vistas before reaching our overnight stop in the small towm of Timit. Day 11: Timit to Imilshil ±230km. A lot more dirt today as we gradually make our way back North East, the dirt roads we can take through the High Atlas are a little more limited, but you're also likely to welcome the easier pace after so many days riding. Our route is an easy 230km along a mix of sealed and good unsealed roads with plenty of opportunity to stop, take photos, etc. We start the day following the edge of an escarpment with panoramic views to the south. As we pass through multiple mountain villages, we eventually pick up the sealed road North to our overnight stop at Imilshil.

Day 12: Amilchil to Fès ±85km. Our first, last, and only pure sealed road day, where we make our way through snaking mountain passes to Fes Day 13: Free day in Fès ±270km. Free day to explore Fès, described in Wikipedia as the "Mecca of the West" and the "Athens of Africa". It is also considered the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. With its walled Medina, vibrant souks and old-world architecture, it is time to have a relax, chill out for the day and explore on foot or 2 wheels. Day 14: Fès to Nador ±310km. Our last days of tiding as we make our way back to Nador by initially following the A2, which is a Toll road and a 4-lane expressway. This may feel a little strange after 13 days of riding off-road, we follow it for around 125km to get us East fast..We then off and follow mountain roads down to the coast, expect some steep descents, and a combination of sealed, rock and hard-packed dirt roads. Overnight stay in Nador before either catching the Ferry back to Almeria, or flying out back home.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If You Cancel In the event of You having to cancel Your Tour the following will be incurred; Full loss of all deposit​​/​​s and one of the following: 80 days or more prior to departure, loss of 50% of all monies paid (And Deposit​​/​​s) 0 – 79 days prior to departure, loss of 100% of all monies paid (And Deposit​​/​​s) A no-show always incurs 100% of all monies paid (And Deposit​​/​​s) It is for this reason that we strongly recommend You obtain adequate travel insurance that covers cancellations. Should You have to cancel Your Tour for any reason, Your booking may be transferred to another person providing a minimum of 2 weeks notice is given, this will incur a £30.00 administration charge plus any additional direct costs we may incur. Any transfers of bookings whether to another person or for yourself to another Tour, where authorised by us, will be treated in the same fashion as if it was made using a travel voucher ie: in the event of a future cancellation at a later date no cash refunds will be issued but We will always attempt, at Our discretion, to allow further transfers subject to availability. If We Cancel We reserve the right to cancel any Tour, however We would only do so in extreme circumstances or if participant numbers dictate it is simply not feasible to run the Tour.
