We ride through the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales as we follow the North and East of the Simpson Desert, cross gibber plains and ride some of the best offroad tracks you could every imagine. This will be a challenging ride with big distances on loose surfaces. You will need to be ride-fit, and confident riding off-road on this epic tour, there will be sand, there will be rock, there will be beer, with some of the best riding and scenery that the Australian Outback has to offer.

Tour Highlights
We have ridden this land for years, with a fascinating variety of cultures, flora and fauna, modern history, and incredibly diverse landscapes, we believe this is one of the best and most challenging adventure-riding destinations you could ever do, everyone who is serious about adventure, should come and ride this amazing country at least once in their lives. We will be travelling to some very remote areas on this trip; accommodation will be a mix, where we can stay in a hotel/motel we will, but do not expect 5-star luxury here, this is a seriously remote trip. There will be multiple nights of camping in the Desert, if you want a hotel every night, this tour is not for you. What we can promise you, is a great time, cold beer, good food and great company. For all UK-based riders, 2 days of training is included, for everyone else, 1 day of training, and for everyone, on-tour coaching is also included.

Full Itinerary
Due to the nature of travelling in remote Australia, we may need to adjust the planned itinerary en route. Several stopover days are included where we explore an area. This gives us flexibility to adjust as needed, plus it gives riders time to relax after what can sometimes be big days. It also gives the group (i.e., you, the riders) the ability to make decisions to adjust. Day 1 - The Bloody Alice We have a few choices today: we could head to the Arltunga Historic Reserve and tour the Eastern McDonald Ranges or spend time exploring Alice Springs. Some attractions around Alice Springs include the Old Telegraph Station, Museums, Botanical Gardens, Camel Farm/Rides, etc. Day 2 - Beef Roads (~350km) We head up the Stuart Highway (sealed) and along the Plenty Highway, the first 170 kilometres being sealed, but the rest of the highway is mostly unsealed and can be quite challenging. The road is known for deep potholes, bulldust, and sections of rough terrain, making it suitable only for 4WD vehicles and our intrepid group of riders. Our overnight stop is on the shores of the Marshal River. Day 3 - A Big Day (~470km) A big day today as we continue along the worst sections of the Plenty Highway, the landscape offers stunning outback scenery, including vast desert landscapes, rugged gorges, unique rock formations, and a lot of dust. Make sure you have a hearty breakfast as this will be an earlier start than normal, we overnight in Boulia QLD, Famous for its Outback Camel Races Day 4 - Camp Oven City (~380km) A nice easy ride today after the big day yesterday as we head South via Bedourie (the Bedourie camp oven was invented here), a town of around 15 people (2021 census) before continuing on to our overnight stop in the town of Birdsville, also famous for its Outback Races, this time Horses. Birdsville is also known as both the gateway to the Simpson Desert and the home of Big Red Day 5 - Big Red (~100km) We stay a second night in Birdsville to allow you to explore the town, or maybe take the 35km trip out to see if you can ride to the top of Big Red, also known as Nappanerica, a spectacular and iconic sand dune that stands over 40 meters tall, making it the tallest dune in the Simpson Desert. Big Red also marks the Symbolic Eastern Edge of the Simpson Desert in the same way that Dalhousie Springs/Purni Bore marks the Western Edge Day 6 - Beer Garden (~420km) We ride back into South Australia today via either the famous Birdsville Track or take the more adventurous route across the infamous gibber plain that is the Cordillo Downs to the town of Inaminka for the night at the Inaminka pub, known for its air-conditioned beer garden called 'Outamincka' Day 7 - Corner Country (~330km) We are now well into what is termed "Corner Country", where QLD, SA and NSW meet, this is where we will stay tonight. To get there, we can take the famous Strzelecki Track, a well-graded Beef Road used to transport cattle and the infamous Rieks Rd, or head into QLD and take the more adventurous route via the Burke and Wills DIg Tree and the Omnicron Rd. We will stay at the Cameron Corner Pub tonight Day 8 - Gold Rush (~200km) Our route today takes us cross-country through cattle stations to Milparinka, with a population of just 77 people (2016 Census) we will stay here overnight. Milparinka played a significant part in the region's gold rush during the 1880s and has numerous restored historic buildings, plus a great pub. Day 9 Opals Take 2 (~210km) We head cross country to our second Opal Mining town of the tour, White Cliffs, via a couple of national parks. The summer heat here forces the inhabitants to live underground like Coober Pedy, but White Cliffs is much smaller and has its own unique way of life. Day 10 White Cliffs (Free Day) Free day to explore White Cliffs and the surrounding areas, maybe have a ride around the mine workings and have a go at fossicking in the miners' mullock tips. Day 11 - Copper Mining (~410km) We continue through national parks, still heading across the country to the Darling River. We follow the course of the Darling River before heading South for our overnight stay in the Copper Mining town of Cobar Day 12 - The Rabbit Trap (~310km) We leave Cobar and are on the home stretch back to Sydney, we detour to call by the Geographic Center of NSW and one of our favourite local pubs, the Rabbit Trap Hotel. We stay overnight in the town of Dubbo with it's Western Plains Zoo Day 13 - Sydney (~420km) Today is our last day, we ride back to Sydney, the roads are all sealed from here, but hey, if you want to keep hitting the dirt, we can do that, we still have a few options close to Sydney. On arrival in Sydney, we will put the bikes away, find somewhere to eat, have a drink, and have a chat on what has undoubtedly been a trip of a lifetime.
