Full Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your lodge in Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania. Nestled beneath Mount Meru, this is where the journey begins. Meet your guides, settle in, and prepare for the ride ahead. Day 2 – Ride to Lake Natron We leave the city behind and head into the raw beauty of the Rift Valley. Expect volcanic terrain, remote tracks, and your first true taste of off-road Tanzania. The active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai dominates the horizon. Day 3 – Lake Natron Exploration A full day to absorb this surreal landscape. Ride light or explore on foot: waterfalls hidden in canyon walls, flamingo-filled shores, and Maasai culture all around you. Day 4 – West Kilimanjaro Traverse We turn south toward the vast plains of West Kilimanjaro. With Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance, ride through open Maasai lands and wildlife corridors. Day 5 – West Kilimanjaro (Full Day) A flexible day for deeper exploration. Track elephants across open plains, refine your riding on fast dirt sections, or enjoy downtime at camp surrounded by wilderness. Day 6 – Ride to Same We transition southeast toward Same. Terrain shifts from open savannah to greener landscapes as we edge closer to the mountains. Day 7 – Into the Usambara Mountains A dramatic climb into one of Tanzania’s most scenic regions. En route, we explore Mkomazi National Park by 4x4, offering a chance to see wildlife in a protected, remote ecosystem. Day 8 – Usambara Mountains (Full Day) A full day in the highlands. Twisting roads, cool air, and panoramic viewpoints define the experience. Optional village visits or relaxed exploration. Day 9 – Descent to the Indian Ocean We descend from the mountains toward the coast. The air turns warm and humid as palm trees replace mountain forests — a dramatic shift in scenery. Day 10 – Beach Day A well-earned rest by the ocean. Swim, relax, or explore the coastline — the perfect contrast to the rugged riding days. Day 11 – Return to Same We begin the journey back inland, retracing through changing landscapes with a new perspective. Day 12 – Return to Arusha Final ride back to Arusha. A day to reflect on the journey — from volcanic deserts to tropical coastlines. Day 13 – Departure Transfers to the airport or onward travel arrangements.
