Full Itinerary
🗓️ Arrival Day Arrive at Ouarzazate airport and enjoy a 20-minute transfer to a charming hotel overlooking the palmeraie and river. Unwind by the pool or with a cold beer before dinner and a general briefing at 20.00 hrs. Flying into Marrakesh? We can arrange a 3.5-hour scenic transfer across the High Atlas Mountains. 🗓️ Day 1 – Ouarzazate to Skoura (98 KM) After a quick intro to the Docker Apollo bikes, we ride toward Skoura, crossing a dusty military range with the Atlas Mountains in sight. The bikes handle sandy riverbeds and winding pistes impressively. We end the day with a curvy asphalt stretch and late lunch at our Eco Lodge. Cool off with a swim or relax in the hammam. 🗓️ Day 2 – Skoura to Kelaat M’Gouna (118 KM) After breakfast by the pool, we fuel up and head to the dramatic Jbel Saghro Mountains. As we ride, the landscape becomes more remote. We stop for a traditional lunch at Mohamed’s hotel. Then it’s off to Kelaat M’Gouna, known for roses and lush fields. The road can be busy—watch for kids and animals. Our hotel, a converted kasbah, offers sweeping views over town and palmeraie. 🗓️ Day 3 – Kelaat M’Gouna to Boumalne Dades (67 KM) This morning, we hike with our guide Brahim through the valley to the vibrant market in Kelaat M’Gouna, followed by lunch at his family home. In the afternoon, we ride through southern Atlas foothills—only 30% off-road. The narrow road passes many villages along the year-round M’Goun river. We stop in Boutaghra, then ride a rocky 40 km track with drop-offs and river crossings. If water levels are too high, bikes go in the 4×4. The final 800 m are through a rocky riverbed before we hit asphalt. We end the day at a peaceful green valley hotel. Jump in the pool and relax. 🗓️ Day 4 – Boumalne Dades to N’Kob (81 KM) Breakfast around the pool, then we ride up Dades Gorge for the famous hairpins before looping back for lunch. In the afternoon, we head south to N’Kob, staying in a 200-year-old kasbah. The Jbel Saghro Mountains provide striking scenery—arid, remote, and hauntingly beautiful. Only small hamlets appear here, typically near dry riverbeds. 🗓️ Day 5 – N’Kob to Ouarzazate (147 KM) We fuel up and begin our final day through what we call ‘Monument Valley,’ full of dramatic rock formations. There are fewer villages here, but we witness quiet, authentic Berber life at 2000+ meters. The Jbel Saghro range is Morocco’s driest, with barren, lunar-like terrain. Though popular with hikers and cyclists, we likely won’t see other tourists. The final 35 km are on-road. Back at the Ouarzazate hotel, a poolside drink awaits. 🗓️ Day of Goodbye Sleep in—unless you’re catching an early flight. As we say goodbye, perhaps it’s time to plan your next adventure? If you haven’t tried our High Atlas Mountains Tour, it’s well worth it. Thanks for joining us—we hope it was unforgettable!
